In the world of Martial Arts, few stars shine brighter than that of Renzo Gracie. In addition to being an MMA and BJJ legend, Master Renzo Gracie is one of the best and most prolific teachers in the history of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

John Danaher is a Black Belt under Renzo Gracie and a Head Instructor at the Renzo Gracie Academy in Manhattan. He is considered one of the foremost authorities on grappling technique in the world. John Danaher is the coach of UFC Champion Georges St. Pierre, as well as many other luminaries in the worlds of MMA and BJJ.

Stewart Carroll is honored to be the Head Instructor of the Renzo Gracie affiliated school in Rockaway Beach. Inspired by his great teachers, Stewartseeks to humbly carry on the Renzo Gracie tradition of presenting detail oriented, cutting edge Jiu Jitsu.

Stewart is a native of Rockaway Beach, NY. He is a graduate of Poly Prep High School and Wesleyan University and has a Master’s degree in TCM from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Stewart is married and the father of two children.
